SONGS OF THE RESISTANCE: Women's March Anniversary Singing Workshop

Are you feeling discouraged and disheartened? Come raise your voice for peace and resistance! This event will be hosted and led by Leela Grace and her group, ResistSing! A portion of the proceeds will be donated to two local organizations -- Raphael House (A multi-faceted domestic violence agency dedicated to ending intimate partner violence for good) and Community Tenants Alliance (Building a strong housing justice movement that is led and directed by those who are most impacted by Oregon’s affordable housing crisis – low-income renters.) 

The first 20 minutes will be a performance by ResistSing and then we will invite everyone to learn and sing powerful songs of peace, protest, resistance, and justice. Raise your voices together. Learn songs to take to your communities, into the streets, and into your hearts for the hard moments. All songs will be taught by ear -- no singing experience necessary. All are welcome. No one turned away due to lack of funds.

DARKNESS INTO LIGHT: Winter Songs Workshop

Come warm up the first Sunday of the New Year with beautiful harmonies as we celebrate the ancient importance of song and community in the darkest time of the year. We will learn and sing songs and rounds that rejoice in the return of the light and the turn of the year. We will be learning all songs by ear. Come raise your voice in sweet harmony! All levels welcome.
